Polar low forecasts

Polar lows are small, intense low pressure systems formed in the winter over the Arctic Ocean.

The Norwegian Meteorological Institute issues forecasts through twitter in Norwegian, usually with an image illustration. These forecasts can be received through sms or e-mail through My page here on BarentsWatch. The messages are also shown on this page.

The larger interactive map shows the statistical probability of a polar low occuring.
